John and Rachel Martinez

John and Rachel took a leap of faith while raising four children in a small house in La Puente—with the office phone ringing in their bedroom. In the early days, they didn’t know how they would make it from one month to the next. Rachel worked full-time and continued to support the family and the budding business through that job.

When they could finally afford it, they rented a small office in the City of Walnut. John Sr. brought on two of his brothers, Felix and Icelee—both of whom had experience in the fire extinguisher industry—to help launch the company.

John committed himself to learning everything he could about fire protection. He took classes, attended NAFED (National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors) conferences, and eventually earned his contractor’s license. This allowed them to expand beyond fire extinguishers into broader fire protection services.

Over the years, their children—Becky, Steve, John, and Chris—all joined the business, and Rachel eventually came on full-time as well. Through their hard work, sleepless nights, countless sacrifices, and, most importantly, unwavering faith in God, the company continued to grow.

Today, John and Rachel only come in a few hours a couple of days a week, but their presence is still deeply felt. John Sr. remains a trusted source of knowledge—always ready to answer a question, talk with a customer, or check in with the team. Rachel is still quick to lend a hand around the office, whether it’s answering phones, making deposits, or getting the mail out.They remain a vital part of our story—and always will be.

Becky Pruszynski

Office Manager
Becky, the daughter of John and Rachel, joined the company in 1989. She handles many of the day-to-day operations in the office, including answering calls, assisting with scheduling, and managing both payables and receivables. Her father, John Sr., always emphasized the importance of customer service—a value Becky has fully embraced. To this day, he reminds the team, “Take care of your customer, and they’ll take care of you,” a principle Becky strives to uphold with every interaction.

Christopher Martinez

Remote Team
Chris, the son of John and Rachel and brother to John and Becky, is responsible for bringing in new business to the company. He consistently reaches out to potential customers, undeterred by initial rejections where he often turns a “no” today into a “yes” down the road, sometimes even a year or more later. Personable and dedicated, Chris takes pride in his work and remains involved beyond the first conversation to ensure he can stand behind everything he promises. Though he often works behind the scenes, his role is a vital part of our company’s success.

Steven Martinez

In Loving Memory
Steve was the youngest of the siblings, and right after high school, he joined the company. He quickly mastered the fire sprinkler trade and, within a few years, became a top-notch fire sprinkler fitter. His charismatic and personable nature made him a favorite among both customers and vendors.Through his dedication and hard work, Steve played a key role in building the fire sprinkler division of our company. Tragically, we lost him to COVID-19 in December 2020.We believe Steve is still watching over us as we continue to grow the business he was so proud to help build. His legacy lives on in the work we do every day.

Kathy Martinez

In Loving Memory
Married to John Jr. and loved by all who knew her. Kathy took care of payroll, payables and all things tax related.  She answered phone calls and made sure they were handled accordingly.  She loved decorating the office for every occasion especially because she knew how happy it made her mother in-law Rachel.  She was kind and considerate and wanted to help everyone in any way she could.  We lost Kathy in July of 2024 and although we miss her so much, we are a family of faith, as Kathy was too and we trust that she is still with us in spirit and resting in the loving arms of our Lord.

Felix, brother to John Sr., was there from the very beginning—back when the company focused solely on fire extinguishers. A true master of sales, Felix earned the trust of every customer, ensuring all their life and safety needs were met with care and professionalism.You always knew when Felix was in the office—the sound of his beautiful voice, often whistling, would announce his arrival. He had a gift for humor, always ready with a joke and able to bring laughter to any room. Felix took great pride in his work, and it showed in everything he did. We lost him in 1996, and not a day goes by that he isn’t missed. His stories and memories continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. We believe he is still with us in spirit, resting in the loving arms of our Lord.
